Scientific Computing Scholars Program

Welcome!

This website contains information on the Southeastern Scientific Computing Scholars Program. This is a program that provides stipends to Southeastern Louisiana University undergraduate students who want to do hands-on computational and statistical projects. This page describes eligibility, possible research projects, and possible faculty mentors.

Benefits of the program

Students selected for this program will receive $500 a month during the school year (expected workload of 10 hours/week) and $2000 for the summer (expected full time work) to do a research internship in the laboratory of one of the faculty listed below. Support can be extended for all four years at Southeastern.

Eligibility

This internship is open to incoming Southeastern Louisiana University students who have been involved in TRIO (Educational Talent Search, Upward Bound, or Student Success Services) and GEAR UP, or are first generation to college, or are Pell Grant recipients. Applicants must fill out the application, provide contact information for three references, and something something transcripts.
